Overview

Our client, Manitoba Public Insurance, is seeking a highly experienced, results-driven President and Chief Executive Officer. This individual will work closely with the Board of Directors, senior management, committed employees and strategic partners to ensure the long-term sustainability and reduced volatility of MPI’s significant financial assets and liabilities, ensuring Manitobans receive high quality, cost efficient and accessible automobile insurance, driver licensing, vehicle registration and road safety services.

The next CEO will continue to provide value to Manitobans while ensuring a stable, sustainable system in the long-term. He/she will establish a high performance organization with dedicated, skilled, engaged and customer-focused team members, efficient service delivery and administrative processes, risk practices that ensure required capitalization and optimized revenue and mutually beneficial partnerships with community groups, regulators, suppliers and vendors.

You will bring to this position an advanced degree in business, finance, public administration or a related discipline complemented with significant executive experience in a multi-services organization. You will have a strong understanding of private and public insurance models, the drivers of costs and the levers that can be used to positively impact rates offered to customers. Significant financial expertise is required in order to oversee the proper stewardship of MPI’s multi-billion dollar balance sheet. You will have a demonstrated track record of successfully leading transformation, streamlining and enhancing efficiencies in systems and processes and of implementing innovative but cost-effective approaches to the delivery of services within regulated, legislated and/or publicly accountable environments. You will have excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills, political and financial acumen and the ability to articulate and communicate a vision while leading the timely and successful execution of strategies.

Candidates inspired by the opportunities and challenges of leading a well-established organization in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving industry and who have the leadership ability to create the environment conducive to service excellence and results achievement will want to explore this rare opportunity.
