THE ROLE: Under the supervision of the Community Recreation Coordinator, the Recreation Leader / Theatre Attendant assists in planning and organizing a recreation program for children, receives registration fees, issues receipts for recreation programs and demonstrates and instructs recreational and sports activities and techniques, as required.
The Rec Leader / Theatre Attendant is also responsible for opening the theatre and preparing the facility for customers. They will operate the video player, popcorn machine, and monitor customers to ensure entitlement to theatre privileges and/or access to restricted movies. Then perform cleaning duties and closing of the theatre/recreation facilities after use.
THE LOCATION: CFB Shilo is home to the First Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery and the Second Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. With a population of about 1,400 military personnel and their families, the Base is completely autonomous with accommodations for more than 600 families and quarters for close to 400 single personnel.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
· High school diploma AND some experience
OR
· An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience will also be considered
AND
· Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Province (18)
· List Experience:
• Working with children
• Programming activities for children
• Ensuring safety protocols and procedures
• Cash handling
• Theatre, and office operations
· Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership (our shared competencies).
