Route Sales Manager

Overview

Purpose of Job:
To consistently service and aggressively expand an assigned set of customers along a predetermined route.

Job Components:

Sell new batteries
Invoice all units that fail to last warranty period
Rotate batteries
Collect money
Maintain the route by keeping displays clean and keeping dealer list up to date
Service each dealer
Set up new accounts
Establish, build and maintain good dealer relationships
Complete documentation on a timely basis
Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to Distributorship.

Scope Data:

Uses frequent independent judgment when making decisions.

Work Environment:

Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to lift and/or move 50+ lbs.
Exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Must possess current CDL and have clean driving record.
Prior sales experience highly desirable
Good communication skills
Strong customer service skills.
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Current, valid state driver’s license
Ability to read, write and compute basic math.
Minimum 2 years demonstrated sales , customer service and delivery experience
