Sales Associate
Overview
Zeghers Canada is currently recruiting for a Sales Associate to join their team located in Holland, Manitoba. Zeghers Canada is a Pedigreed Seed dealer and Exporter of specialty crops including Flax, Mustard, Rye, Triticale, Peas, Canary, Damaged Canola, Millets and others.
The Sales Associate will create and implement effective sales strategies, while driving sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and building strong relationships with clients and brokers.
Working under the direction of the Sales and Purchasing Manager, the Sales Associate is responsible to:
• Meet established sales targets and goals for Zeghers Canada products including
food and feed grains, identifying products and services to meet these needs while
promoting positive customer relations, retention and repeat sales
• Identify and implement strategies to grow sales within the pet food and food processors
market segment
• Work with international and domestic customers to build relationships and increase
business share
• Source Grain and Seed from suppliers when required
• Identify, research and participate in key industry events that provide high visibility and growth opportunities for Zeghers
• Research, build and develop a network of contacts in various key market segments
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess the following skills/qualities:
• Post-secondary education in Business or Agricultural is preferred. Equivalent
combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
• Training in sales and logistics is a requirement with preference for an agriculture,
manufacturing or production environment.
• An understanding of the principles and procedures associated with sampling and
grading of products.
• A customer service approach to working with staff and clients by establishing good
relationships and demonstrating a proactive approach to resolving challenges or
obstacles.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment and excellent attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel internationally
