Seasonal Farm Employee
Overview
Rourke Farms is currently looking for a seasonal farm labourer to join our family-run organic grain operation at Minto, Manitoba. Students are encouraged to apply.
Duties may include, but are not limited to: operation of trucks and farm machinery, maintenance and repair of equipment, mowing grass, hauling grain, picking stones, maintenance and repair of farm buildings and yard.
Qualifications
An ideal candidate would have farm or equipment operation experience, a valid drivers license (class 1 would be an asset), some mechanical aptitude, effective communication skills, problem solving skills, a good work ethic, team-work skills and have the physical and mental ability to keep up to a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work long hours and consecutive days during busy seasons (seeding, harvest) is crucial. Must have reliable transportation to get to the farm which is 30 minutes south of Brandon.
