Seasonal Line Cook

Overview

The Glencoe Golf & Country Club is offering full-time and part-time seasonal Line Cook positions within the Kitchen team for the upcoming 2022 Golf Season. We are a 45-hole private golf club on 440 acres, located just west of the city limits on Highway 8. We are seeking positive and energetic individuals who work well in a team-oriented, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure service excellence in the execution and preparation of all food products served
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food product for the daily line preparation
• Receive, store, and stock inventory appropriately
• Monitor product inventory for freshness, rotation, and stock levels
• Ensure the personal delivery of high-quality products and services
• Effectively address concerns brought up by supervisors for the kitchen team
• Actively contribute to department teamwork and collaboration of new items
• Assist in food prep assignments and other duties as needed
• Follow all kitchen procedures as listed in the Kitchen Handbook
• Ensures the kitchen and all food prep and storage areas meet club cleaning standards
• Ensures compliance with all Glencoe Health and Safety standards and the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety
regulations
• Attend Kitchen meetings and training sessions

Qualifications:
• A proven track record, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar kitchen
• Culinary diploma or Red Seal certification considered an asset
• Able to properly prepare soups, sauces, stocks from scratch and cook cuts of meat, fish and vegetables
• Have an accurate understanding of allergies and dietary requirements
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• A team player who can execute exceptional service
• Experience working under pressure and multitasking, while delivering accurate, quality food
• High standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity
• Excellent member service and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation is required as there is no public transportation to our location

This position is a seasonal role, with an anticipated season from March 2022 to October 2022 (weather dependent). This position may include weekday, weekend and evening shifts, so a flexible schedule is required.
