Software Developer Summer Student

Tundra is seeking a Software Developer Summer Student for 4 months (beginning of May until end of August) based out of the Winnipeg office.

As a Software Developer Summer Student, contributing to the application development process.
Reporting to the Leads Software Developer, some specific duties and responsibilities of the Software Developer Summer Student include, but are not limited to:

• Research, design, program, and test computer software.
• Support users with issue resolution, documentation, and assistance.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues.
• Ability to quickly pick up new coding languages, technologies, and frameworks.
• Design, build and maintain databases, queries, and reports.
• Liaise with technical support, infrastructure, IT security, and business transformation personnel.
• Effectively prioritize efforts and project work based on business needs and timelines.
• Other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Candidates for this position will possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• High School Diploma.
• Must be enrolled in Post Secondary Education for Information Technology and returning to post-secondary education in September 2022.
• Basic knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Basic understanding of one programming language.
• Basic understanding of relational databases.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct research into issues and products as required.
• Willingness to learn.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Experience working in a team-orientated, collaborative environment.
• Proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
• Adhere to the safety accountabilities as per Tundra’s Safety Policies.
