Store Manager

Overview

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership and direction of the store with multiple product categories. In this role you will:
• Establish short-term strategies, goals, and objectives for the store in alignment with the retail’s goals.
• Ensures standards for brand and merchandising, marketing, image, safety, human resources and asset protection are met.
• Prepare, administer, and be responsible for the achieving budgeted goals related to pricing, sales, margin, expenses, and inventory. Assign sales objectives and ensures store goals are met.
• Maintain inventory controls, image and fixed assets, and perform administrative duties.
• Coach and develop team members and team leaders, providing day to day direction and guidance, including performance management and training and development. Responsible for recruitment and onboarding of direct reports.
• Monitor customer satisfaction levels and identifies areas for improvement.
• Foster a positive work environment that enables the engagement of team members in the pursuit of desired results.
• Contribute to the Co-op in living the corporate values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence.

Qualifications

Who you are:

• Experienced in a retail environment (6 – 9 years) and have 3 years of leadership experience
• You are self motivated, reliable, trustworthy, responsible, friendly, hard working and positive. Results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you can do; Solid time management skills
• You are a role model to team leaders and team members
• You have meticulous attention to detail
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You have skills in performance management, coaching, supervision, quality management, results achievement, developing budgets, implementing standards, fostering teamwork and leading a team
• You have the ability to handle pressure and provide feedback to team members and team leaders in tough or uncomfortable situations
• You have a commitment to cooperative values and principles (Integrity, Community, Excellence)
• You have a sense of urgency, and customer first attitude
