Responsibilities:

Create engineering drawings, based on sketches and other information provided by others, for highway and city bridges and structural culverts

Ensure drawings are prepared based on specific project drafting standards

Ensure accuracy of scale and confirm the accuracy of geometric information presented on drawings

Perform quantity take-offs based on drawing information

Perform field work for site assessments, inspections, and construction, as required

Assist in production of written reports based on field work notes and assessments

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Enrolled in a Technical College Diploma program in Structural Engineering Technology

Trained in use of AutoCAD software for structural drafting and design

Ability to visualize and project 3D objects into 2D views (and vice-versa)

Proven ability to meet deadlines and to work in a group environment

Preference will be given to candidates with experience/education in rendering capabilities, structure inspections, surveying, and road and structure construction.
