Summer Agronomist
Overview
CORE Ag Inputs - Virden currently has an opportunity for a Summer Agronomist to work with our experienced team. Summer Agonomists are responsible for providing support to our team as well as supporting the efficient and profitable operation of our Growing business. Field scouting and Crop Recommendations will be the main focus as you work with our team.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with crop input retail activities
• Scout crops for weeds, disease and insects
• Soil & tissue testing
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Provide excellent customer service to our farm customers
• Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Knowledge and Interest of Agriculture
• Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Students or graduates of an Agriculture degree or diploma program focusing on Agronomy, Plant Science or Soil Science
• Agriculture background is an asset but not required
