Summer Agronomist

Valleyview Co-op is hiring a Full-Time Agronomist (Junior) for a summer term at our Farm & Ranch Centre in VIRDEN, MB.

What you’ll do:
Our Junior Agronomist will complete field scouting, delivery of Crop Supplies products, customer service and sales for the department, soil testing, inventory, farm contact, fertilizer plant operation and other duties as assigned. This position will be a summer term from approximately May until August and will assist our Crop Supplies Team to service customers in south western Manitoba.

This position fall under Collective Bargaining Agreement with UFCW 832. Wage Range: $13.41-$18.78/hour
Qualifications
Who you are:
You are looking to start a career in agriculture and:
• You are a student enrolled in Agriculture Post Secondary Education, or have related experience in the Ag field.
• You have strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• You have knowledge of farm related goods and experience in a farm environment
• You have at a minimum a Class 5 Valid Drivers license
