The Opportunity
Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC), one of the nation’s leading conservation organizations, is seeking 5 energetic individuals for summer employment in Saskatchewan.

Duties
Working with other staff to perform activities related to the establishment, management and maintenance of habitat programs.

Responsibilities may include:
• General project maintenance activities
• Wetland project operation and maintenance
• Assisting staff with seeding and field activities
• Data entry and other computer work
• Habitat assessment and site evaluation

Additional Details
• Dates of employment are ~May 2 - August 26
• Salary: $2,400 - $2,600 per month
• The successful candidate will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.

Qualifications

Qualifications
• Full-time post-secondary student
• Students pursuing a career in agriculture, engineering, biology, plant ecology, environmental science or resource management preferred
• Ability to work effectively with others in teams as well as with little supervision
• Ability to work outdoors and perform strenuous and heavy lifting tasks
• Knowledge of Saskatchewan plant ecology (1 Yorkton position)
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Basic computer skills (GIS skills are an asset)
• Knowledge and experience of Saskatchewan farming practices is an asset
• ATV experience is an asset
• Must be available for work between May 1, 2021 and August 31, 2021
Preference may be given, but is not limited to, students between ages 15-30 based on available funding where the successful candidate must be a full-time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.
