Qualifications

Qualifications:
Diploma in related technology (CET, C-Tech or Major trade designation) or a acceptable combination of training, knowledge, skills and experience. Experience in the application of National Building Codes, Electrical Codes, Plumbing Codes, and Fire Codes. Experience in the operation and maintenance of HVAC, security systems, life safety systems, and DDC systems or similar maintenance software. Experience working with a variety of stakeholders including clients and contractors.

Duties:
Under the direction of the District Property Manager (DPM), the district technical engineering officer provides technical support to the DPM, Facility Managers, Project Manager and key support staff within the district including capital works planning, preparing technical solutions and daily operational technical challenges of owned and leased properties. With the direction and approval of the DPM, the District Technical Officer coordinates, plans and implements the District’s capital program.
