Transport Truck Journeyman Mechanic
Overview
The Southwest Horizon School Division is looking for a Transport Truck Journeyman Mechanic to work in our Transportation Department.
Our School Division operates 45 School buses out of School Bus garages in both Melita and Souris. This position will work primarily out of the Souris Bus Garage. It will include a service vehicle to allow travel between both garages and all communities within our division.
The Southwest Horizon School Division has a comprehensive benefits program and will provide all tools necessary for this position including all hand and power tools, safety equipment and vehicle. Qualifications
Responsibilities include:
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections
• Perform scheduled maintenance services
• Diagnose and repair vehicle defects
• Perform road repairs/service calls as required
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Adhere to all School Division policies and procedures
• Comply with Safety & Heath regulations in the workplace
