Traveling Rotational Store Supervisor
Full - Time – 5 Month Contract (able to start University of time)
Must be able to travel extensively to remote and rural communities in difficult-to-reach markets in the Northern most regions of Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Quebec, Nunavut and Northwest Territories
Do you have amazing customer service skills with a passion to be part of a hardworking retail team? The North West Company (NWC) has Northern and NorthMart stores in remote locations in northern Canada, with roles for rotational supervisors.
Role:
What we will provide:
- Full Time – You will have Full Time Work for 6 months plus the possibility of extension.
- Compensation & Benefits: You will receive a competitive wage. We will provide food and housing during each of your rotational assignments and a comprehensive benefits plan
- Training: Prior to your first rotational assignment you will be trained to ensure we give you the tools and training to do your job effectively and feel part of the team;
What we need from you:
- Typical Assignment Length: An assignment can vary in length from several weeks to multiple months and may be required to travel from one assignment to the next location.
- Accountabilities: Rotational supervisors are critical of the store management team. They are responsible to ensure appropriate merchandise is ordered and properly presented to maximize sales and profits, exhibit high customer service and support of the store management team.
- Flexibility: Our rotational supervisors enjoy the variety provided by working in different locations and being flexible on when their work schedules change. They are extremely resilient and adaptable because they experience a wide variety of cultures, store sizes and conditions, employee skill levels, community engagement levels, and competition in each of the assigned work location;
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Experience interacting with/serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving and decision making skills with a high attention to detail
• Proven organizational, planning and prioritizing skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and superior customer service skills
• Must have the ability and desire to develop an in-depth understanding of NWC's customers
• Demonstrates a personal and enthusiastic commitment to NWC's vision, mission, values and strategies
• Highly motivated and adventurous with an appreciation for small town life in a culturally diverse setting considered an asset
