Utility Engineer
Overview
Reporting to the Director of Utilities, the Utility Engineer is responsible for performing a range of professional duties
related to water and wastewater treatment and conveyance; for overseeing project delivery; and for supporting Utility
functions to ensure the protection of the health, safety and environment of the citizens of Brandon.
Qualifications
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12, G.E.D., or Mature High School Diploma;
- University graduate in Civil, Chemical, Process or Municipal Engineering;
- Membership in or ability to acquire membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of
Manitoba;
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in a progressive leadership position;
- Must possess a valid and subsisting Class 5, Province of Manitoba driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Post-secondary degree or diploma related to Water or Wastewater Treatment an asset;
- Previous experience in contract administration, project management and/or construction an asset;
- Five (5) years’ responsible experience in Engineering environment or similar operations.
