Who are we Knowles Centre is a community-based, non-profit social service agency for children, adolescents and young adults facing difficult times in their lives. It began as a home for boys in 1907 and today provides a range of therapeutic and skills-based programs to young people from Manitoba and other communities throughout Canada. Knowles Centre is made up of a team of 130 full-time, part-time and casual employees. Each day we strive to help young people and their families address past struggles, develop healthier relationships and ways of life, and reach their full potential in the future.
We do this by providing the following programs:
• Healing Homes
• Treatment Foster Care
• SAIL Program
• Day Treatment

• Moving Forward Counselling

We are hiring!
Youth Care Work (full-time) Group Care Treatment Centre (GCTP)
Knowles Centre is an accredited treatment facility serving children, adolescents, and families from Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.
Duties:
• Supervise high needs/at-risk youth
• Provide feedback to treatment teams
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team
• Emphasis will be place on recreation programs

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Minimum Gr.12, RRC or University education (preferred)
• Education and experience with level four children an asset
• Strong interest in working with high needs, at-risk youth
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Successful applicants will be subject to Child Abuse Registry, Prior Contact and Criminal Reference checks
• Experience working with Level 4 clients with behavioral and emotional difficulties
• Experience working in an alternative setting (camp)
• Experience working in a secure setting
• Valid Manitoba Driver’s License
• First Aid/CPR/NVCI
As a condition of employment, proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Schedule: Tuesday, 2 pm – 12 am, Wednesday, 10 am – 8 pm, and Saturday, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, Sunday 2 pm – 12 am.
