Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Clerk performs accounting-related tasks utilizing knowledge of the entire accounting cycle. Your duties may include account payables, account receivables, cash handling and account/bank reconciliations completed in a computerized financial system. You will receive source documents, verify for compliance and enter in the book of accounts. You will calculate, verify, prepare and issue financial documents and/or reports while ensuring accuracy and integrity.

This is a hands-on role, requiring the ability to efficiently manage tasks with defined priorities and fixed monthly deadlines. Strong computer skills; including knowledge of excel, customer service skills and an aptitude to learn is important.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, AND some years of experience in accounting, or in a related field
(OR High school diploma AND several years of experience in accounting)

Experience
In accounting
In data entry, data manipulation, record-keeping and retrieval techniques
In drafting correspondence and reports
In office administration
In providing customer service
In maintaining electronic and manual filing systems

English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset
