Position: Apprentice Carpenters

About the Role
Keller Developments is seeking motivated Apprentice Carpenters (Levels 1–4) to join our growing construction team. With a strong pipeline of secured projects and guaranteed winter work, this is an opportunity to build your career with a stable, locally owned company.

Successful candidates will work alongside experienced journeymen, foremen, and project managers on residential, commercial, and multi-residential projects. This role focuses on developing hands-on skills while contributing to high-quality construction projects that serve our community.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the construction, installation, and repair of structural and finishing elements as directed.
• Perform tasks related to framing, drywall, finishing carpentry, concrete, and other general carpentry duties appropriate to skill level.
• Move materials to and from work areas and ensure proper setup of tools and equipment.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Always follow company safety policies and provincial safety regulations.
• Participate in on-the-job training and apprenticeship learning objectives.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship in accordance with project specifications.
• Assist with site clean-up and organization to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
• Complete assigned tasks within established timelines.

Qualifications

Requirements
• Registered Carpenter Apprentice (Levels 1–4) or actively pursuing apprenticeship in Carpentry.
• Previous construction experience is considered an asset.
• Experience or exposure to areas such as wood framing, steel stud framing, drywall, finishing carpentry, concrete, flooring, tile work, T-bar ceilings, or pre-fab construction is an asset.
• Sound knowledge of construction practices and safe tool operation appropriate to apprenticeship level.
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and follow instructions.
• Strong understanding of job site safety practices.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. and performing manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence preferred; Class 3 is an asset.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a crew.
• Must supply own hand tools and small power tools (grace period may apply).
• Must supply own steel toe boots, hard hat, and high-visibility PPE.
