ASSISTANT LOCATION MANAGER – REDFERN FARM SERVICES – VIRDEN

The Assistant Location Manager at Redfern Farm Services is a key part of the leadership team and is responsible for ensuring smooth operation of the retail ag location, this includes leading/supervising a team, and supporting strategic direction-setting within the organization. The work location for this position is Virden, Manitoba.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Manage, motivate, and coach directly reporting employees.
• Delegate and monitor employee workload, oversee employee activities and performance.
• Ensure employee successes are being highlighted and rewarded.
• Create a positive workplace culture with focus on long term retention of employees.
• Ensure company policy, procedure and guidelines are accurate and enforced.
• Support budget creation, reporting, and forecasting.
• Inventory, asset, and cost management for the location.
• Assist in setting pricing, marketing, and sales strategies.
• Oversee timely and accurate customer invoicing.
• Credit management including grants, monitoring accounts, and addressing overdue accounts.
• Sales and marketing activities including advertising, cold calling, customer contact pre/post sale, and ability to “sell” the total experience to customers.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
• Previous experience working in an operational leadership position, ideally in the (retail) Agriculture services industry, including experience in people management.
• Clear understanding of financials/budgets and interpreting/actioning results.
• Agronomic/technical product knowledge is a strong asset.
• Strength in the application and use of industry specific and productivity software (Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, other industry programs)
• Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
