Autobody Technician

Overview

Repair damaged vehicle bodies, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening, using specialized tools and equipment.
Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
Mix and apply paint to vehicles, matching colors accurately and achieving high-quality results.
Replace or repair damaged or defective parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors, as needed.
Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure that repairs meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on repair progress and address any concerns.
Stay updated on industry developments and best practices to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in automotive body repair preferred.
Previous experience as a Body Shop Technician or similar role in an automotive repair setting.
Proficiency in using body repair tools and equipment, including welders, grinders, and paint guns.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship, with a focus on producing high-quality workmanship.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
