WESTMAN COMMUNICATIONS GROUP (Westman) is seeking applications from energetic, highly motivated individuals to become part of our growing team!
Westman is an industry-leading communications provider based in Brandon MB, offering residential and commercial High-Speed Internet, Digital TV, and Phone services in communities across southwestern and central Manitoba. Westman also owns and operates radio stations Q Country 91.5 FM and 94.7 STAR FM, which broadcast throughout southwestern Manitoba. What you’ll do:
• Business and residential installations of broadband equipment and services
• Repair or replace faulty broadband electronics, and coaxial and fibre optic cables as required
• Complete work orders for business and residential installation and repairs
• Positive interaction with customers regarding equipment and services
• Perform all work in accordance with quality control guidelines and company policies and procedures
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to the team:
• Minimum Grade 12 education
• Construction experience required; electronics/electrical wiring background preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work with the public, in a customer focused environment
• Effective communications skills required
• Strong analytical ability and technical aptitude
• Must be a good team worker and have a strong work ethic
• Able to work in all weather conditions; must be able to work at heights/on ladders
• Must have a valid driver’s license; able to travel
• Able to carry 75 lbs
*Must be willing to work shifts and be on-call
