Do you love working with children? Want to help provide a high-quality camp experience for every child? Excited about spending your Spring and Summer on an island in beautiful Lake of the Woods? Camp Stephens provides a unique opportunity for everyone. Co-Cabin Leaders support camper safety and well-being, assisting Cabin Leaders with supervision, activities, and creating a positive environment. They act as role models, providing care and support while working with the leadership team to ensure a memorable camp experience.

Leadership:
Be a positive role model, supporting and guiding campers with the Cabin Leader.
Help supervise campers and encourage skill-building and confidence.
Create an inclusive, positive, and respectful environment.
Work with the Cabin Leader and camp staff to ensure smooth operations and communication.
Programming & Operations
Help plan and deliver engaging activities based on the cabin group's age and abilities.
Support the Cabin Leader in managing group dynamics to maintain a safe, positive environment.
Provide individual attention to campers' needs and assist with their emotional and physical safety.
Contribute to camp-wide activities, including evening events, transitions, and mealtimes.
Work closely with the Cabin Leader to care for the cabin group as a team.
Administrative Tasks
Help complete evaluations at the start, middle, and end of the season.
Maintain records and assist with program planning and cabin-related paperwork.
What else do you need?
Certificate: Emergency First Aid, Non Violent Crisis Intervention, Mental Health First Aid, Bronze

Y Winnipeg Staff required trainings: Workplace Safety & Health, Accessibility for Ontarians with
Disabilities Act Training (AODA), Respectful Workplace, Child Protection
Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check
Manitoba Class 5F License
Note - for successful candidates who do not have all of the above required trainings, the Y Winnipeg is willing to provide.
