Are you someone who enjoys working with young people, creating fun experiences, and making a real difference in your community? The Shilo Military Family Resource Centre is looking for energetic, reliable, and caring individuals to join our Youth Programs team in a casual role supporting children and youth from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
This is a great opportunity for students, education assistants, recreation staff, or anyone interested in youth work, social services, or community programming.
What You’ll Do
Working alongside our Youth Programs team, you will:
• Support the planning and delivery of engaging youth programs on-site and in the community
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants
• Supervise and interact with youth through games, activities, and conversations
• Communicate with parents, staff, and supervisors to support program success
• Assist with set-up, clean-up, and daily program tasks
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
• Experience working with children or youth in structured or recreational settings
• Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to follow direction while also being adaptable and proactive
• Valid First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
• Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
• Valid Driver’s License is an asset

Compensation
• $16.25 per hour
• Mileage reimbursement available for travel over 16 km
