About the Opportunity

Our growing Edmonton office is looking to add a highly capable Civil Engineering Technologist to our team to deliver excellent service to our Municipal and Indigenous clients across Central and Northern Alberta.
As a Civil Engineering Technologist, you will be responsible for working alongside our team of engineering, planning, and drafting specialists to translate high-level conceptual designs from preliminary through to detailed design. • Supporting engineering personnel in the field with design, drawing production, and/or construction specifications.
• Ensuring quality control of your work and effectively communicating with project leaders.
• Performing a variety of defined assignments with independent judgment.
• Supporting field design, field surveying, and drafting.
• Assisting with project timelines and ensuring deadlines are met.

Qualifications

About You

Our preferred candidate is a graduate of an Engineering Design & Drafting Technology or Civil Engineering Technology program with 2 to 5 years of experience and possesses the following skills, strengths, and interests:
• You are proficient in Civil 3D and are excited to learn new software.
• You are proficient with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office software. 
• You have a keen eye for detail and take great pride in your work, in projects both large and small.
• You have strong written and oral communication skills for communicating with team members and clients.
• You are committed to ongoing personal and professional development.
• You have experience supporting and conducting field design, surveying, and drafting.
• You are certified or eligible for certification with ASET or an equivalent Provincial association.
• You have a valid class 5 driver's license or equivalent.
