Alternative Landscaping Ltd. is a local, family-run company that has been creating award-winning outdoor landscapes for more than two decades. We complete commercial and residential projects in landscaping, excavation, and maintenance and operate a year-round Garden Center that services southwestern Manitoba. The Excavation Team at Alternative Landscaping Ltd. works on a wide range of projects, including sewer and water installation, total lot clearing, demolition, site preparation excavation and backfilling.

• While occasional weekend work may be required, our norm is 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday.

Qualifications
What you will bring to the team:
• Demonstrated work experience as a Class 1 Driver.
• Practical experience with electronic/cellular equipment and software.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
• Valid Class 1 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
• Mechanical skills to correctly identify equipment issues is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail (aware and observant) always to notice anything that may compromise job safety or construction tasks.
