About The Role:
Do you love the idea of coming to work each day knowing you’re helping children discover,
grow, and shine? At Victoria Albert Daycare Inc., we’re looking for our next ECE II/III to bring
warmth, creativity, and energy to our organization.

The Early Childhood Educator (ECE) plans and delivers developmentally appropriate programs
that support the physical, cognitive, communication, creative, social, and emotional growth of
every child. Working collaboratively with other educators and families, the ECE ensures that
each child feels a strong sense of belonging and is supported in their unique learning journey.

What You’ll Do
●Plan and implement daily programs based on children’s interests and the Manitoba’s
Early Learning Curriculum Framework.
●Create engaging, inclusive environments that promote exploration and discovery.
●Observe, document, and reflect on children’s learning through portfolios and learning
stories via centre displays and electronically through Fastoche.
●Foster positive relationships with families through daily communication.
●Ensure health, safety, and licensing standards are consistently met.
●Participate in ongoing professional development and team collaboration.
●Follow all Circle of Security Principles and meeting the needs of all children and families
in our care

Qualifications

●Classification as an ECE II or III in Manitoba
●Current First Aid & CPR C certification
●Clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) and Child Abuse Registry Check
(dated within 3 months of hire date)
●Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
●A genuine love for working with children and helping them succeed
●Strong understanding of child development, curriculum planning, and inclusion
●Circle of Security Classroom Certification
●Respect in Schools Certificate
●Commit to Kids Certificate (Participation and Completion)
●Accessibility Training (3 Modules: Accessible Customer Service, Accessible Employment Standard, Accessible Information and Communication)
●Experienced working with children in all stages of development, from Infant/Toddler, Preschool, to School Age.
●Flexible with shift times (ability to work in split and straight shifts depending on what the program needs are); Current shift times are: 7:00-10:00am, 11:30-1:30, 2:30-5:30pm.
●Perfect for ECE 2s currently residing in the downtown Winnipeg area, or will be in the near future.
