Executive Director

Overview

Hockey Brandon is currently inviting applications for the position of Executive Director. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations.
The Executive Director provides leadership in the development of Hockey Brandon's vision, mission, goals and the corresponding strategies, plans, and budgets to achieve success each hockey season.

Qualifications

This position requires the candidate to be familiar in the areas of Strategic Planning and Operations, Leadership, Communications and Executive Relations as well as Financial and Risk Management Qualifications (Skills, Education and Experience) would include, but not be limited to:
Degree or Diploma in Business Administration
Recreation & Community Development; or suitable combination of Education and Experience
3-5 years of experience managing a non-profit, board driven organization, including extensive community programs
An understanding of the social and economic factors affecting Manitobans in minor hockey
Knowlege, skills and ability to manage and motivate people
Ability to communicate effectively (verbally or in writing) at all levels
Computer literate and proficient using standard Microsoft Office suite
Optional skills could include 2-3 years' experience in public relations experience working or volunteering within a non-profit.
