Garden Center Customer Service Associate

Alternative Landscaping is seeking a Customer Service Associate. The successful candidate will work on issues that require independent thinking, initiative, and decisiveness. The position also requires for this person to be an assertive, proactive, and decisive individual; however, the position is also calling for this person to work with highly structured, specialized processes on a hands on basis. This individual will be very goal and numbers oriented and have the ability to set and achieve goals, according to the overall company plan. Superior Customer Service and communication skills are critical. The successful candidate will also be able to operate a POS system and accurately collect payments and provide change, ability to work independently and as part of a team, be able to lift up to 50 lbs safely. He/she must also have the capable of being on your feet for extended periods on concrete floors and tolerate temperature and humidity extremes – both hot and humid, and cold and damp.
During our peak season, we’re open 7 days a week; team members are required to be available to all shifts including, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
-2 to 5 years of customer service and cashier experience in a busy retail store is essential.
