Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Land & Resource, the GIS Analyst will work collaboratively with the Land & Resource team to support the Potash Business Unit’s GIS projects, and the responsibilities associated with them. The candidate will join a dynamic team based out of the Saskatoon office.

What you will do:
• Lead GIS data management processes used by the Potash Business Unit, adapting as needed
• Uphold data integrity and quality control, maintaining a single source of truth for business-critical datasets used by the Potash Business Unit
• Oversee GIS-related work delegated to contractors
• Champion ad-hoc GIS analyses requests from the potash operations and other Engineering, Technology & Capital teams
• Collaborate with Mine Technologist, Land & Resource and other support teams on the advancement of technologies relating to LiDAR, photogrammetry, GIS field data collection, and GIS data delivery solutions
• Engage appropriate stakeholder groups as needed
• Develop documentation and procedures for critical tasks as required, adhering to existing standard processes
• Develop and roll-out training for applicable GIS processes
• Troubleshoot data management and data acquisition issues in support of the potash operations
• Support the Mine Technologist, Land & Resource with time-sensitive LiDAR and photogrammetry data acquisition and processing

What you will bring:
• Degree in Geoscience or Engineering required with at least 5 years of professional experience in a relevant field required; or
• Diploma in GIS, Geospatial Technology, Mine Engineering Technology, or other applicable discipline with at least 10 years of relevant experience required
• Formal education in the field of geology, GIS, geospatial technology, mine engineering technology, or other applicable field considered an asset
• Experience in potash operations considered an asset
• Commitment to professional and personal development, including the pursuit of courses and seminars that lend to keeping knowledge base current
• Strong computer & software skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated fluency with technical software. Specialized software may be learned on the job
• Ability to adapt to changing timelines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Demonstrated accountability
• Exceptional organizational, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented and self-motivated
• Tactful and effective communication skills with a variety of people and organizations
