We are currently hiring a groundskeeper (1 spot from March to September) for our 2023 Spring and Summer Season.

Job Description

Duties include but are not limited to watering lawn, plants and shrubs; trimming and pruning trees and shrubs; cutting grass and edging; planting grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs; raking and bagging leaves; digging up ground for flower beds; operating and performing basic maintenance on power lawn mowers that may include changing oil, parts lubrication and adjustment; working in different weather conditions with exposure to the elements; repairing the sprinkler system when necessary; completing additional duties as assigned.

The Groundskeeper must possess the following knowledge and skills:

experience in the operation and maintenance of motorized equipment such as push and riding mowers, string trimmers, edger trimmers and hedge shears;

irrigation experience using sprinklers, hoses and flooding methods;

the capability to operate job related vehicles safely;

The applicant must be able to work from Thursday to Monday and on statutory holidays. Starting at $18.00/hour, DOE.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

The Groundskeeper must possess the following knowledge and skills:

must hold a valid Driver’s Licence;

must have a driving record in Good Standing;

must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.;

must be proactive, flexible, and able to meet deadlines and work under pressure;

responsibilities will be performed with an eye for detail in a timely manner;

must have the ability to follow direction and standards set by the Resort;

this position requires standing, sitting, walking, lifting, reaching, comprehension, learning, problem solving, and interacting with others throughout the workday;

multitasking in an environment with many distractions is a must;

repetitive motions for an extended duration of time are required.
