Groundskeeper
Brandon Riverbank Inc. is seeking an energetic, friendly and hard-working individual to act as our groundskeeper at the Riverbank Discovery Centre. The areas included involve the maintenance of the Arbour Trail, Fusion Credit Union Stage, Festival Park and grounds surrounding the Riverbank Discovery Centre for the summer of 2024. This individual will be responsible for general gardening including weeding, watering, garbage clean-up as well as general care and clean-up of the area.
You will be highly motivated and able to work independently, enjoy working outdoors in all kinds of weather, be detail-oriented and, able to work unsupervised.
You must complete a Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Records Check

Responsibilities
Responsible for:
• Maintaining the grounds in and around the Riverbank Discovery Centre as well as the grounds to the north, including the new Festival Park, which includes the Amphitheatre as well as the gazebos to the east, the area directly south of the building, along the Arbour Trail, Native Grass Trail, the Sharing Circle, and at the Labyrinth of Peace
• Weeding, watering, garbage bin removal and set up as well as clean-up of the general area as outlined above, including all gazebos
• Checking and replacing all of the garbage daily at the gazebo located directly north of the customer parking lot, RV Dump, and at the north and south entrances of the building as well as replacing bags and cleaning out garbage bin liners
• Placing wheeled garbage bins, including recycling and compost bins to the curb every week
• Power wash and or sweep the picnic gazebo, patio, and entrances as required
• Cleaning Festival Park; Fusion Credit Union stage, seating areas, grass area surrounding Festival Park as well as the picnic shelters to the east of any garbage, graffiti, and overall untidiness
Qualifications:
• Work well with people of all ages
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Be a self-motivated, energetic individual who can work alone
Position Details:
• 37.5 hours/week, Monday through Friday
• May 13 through to August 23 – Groundskeeper
• Wage: $16.00 per hour
