Job Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our Nurse Next Door team as a Certified Health Care Aide. As a Health Care Aide, you will provide essential support and assistance to patients in various homecare settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others and contribute to their overall well-being.

Schedule:

Must work a minimum of 5 shifts a month
Day shift
Evening shift
Overnight shifts
Weekends as needed
Expected hours are 6-40hrs a week
Hourly Rate:

$20.00-$22.00

Responsibilities:

Assists clients with ADLs: personal care, medications reminders, light housekeeping, transportation, etc.
Meets safety standards, using equipment safely and accurately.
Provides premium care approach to clients and their family members.
Reviews the care plan prior to beginning a visit, completing records accurately and carrying out all assignments as requested.
Engages in open communication with your Care Designer when opportunities to elevate your client’s experience and care are identified.
Skills and Qualifications:

Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide Program, Registered Care Aide, or Personal Support Worker (Ontario) required
Valid Driver's License and vehicle required
Previous Home Care experience an asset
Ability and willingness to travel to and from Client's home within the city of Winnipeg
Experience with Alzheimer's and Dementia
Criminal Record Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check
A negative TB Mantoux Test
Legally entitle to work in Canada (Valid Student/Work Permit)
