Frontier Mosakahiken School is a vibrant Nursery to Grade 12 school serving approximately 415 students. Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic High School English Language Arts Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will foster critical thinking, creativity, and literacy development in students while promoting a respectful and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned ELA instruction to students in Grades 9–12

Plan, prepare, and implement units, lessons, and assessments in accordance with Manitoba curriculum guidelines

Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds

Integrate Indigenous perspectives and local knowledge into the classroom experience

Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect

Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents/guardians

Participate in school-wide events, professional development, and collaborative planning

Contribute to school culture and student well-being by building strong relationships with students, families, and the community

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)

A sound knowledge of provincial High School curricula

Previous High School teaching experience

A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology

Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life

Experience with integrating Indigenous culture and land-based teaching into curriculum

Strong classroom management skills

Experience working with students with unique needs

A commitment to differentiated instruction

A willingness to inquire into best practices and reflect on practices

A team player committed to the belief that all students can learn

Self-motivated
