Inside Sales Representative

Overview

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing prompt, friendly and professional service for in-store customers and generating and following up on leads to advance the sales process, close new business and assist in the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Provides prompt, friendly, professional service for in-store customers as a priority, working efficiently, minimizing wait times by ensuring the front counter is always staffed
2. Demonstrates excellent knowledge of our products, services, and policies, and successfully sells our features over competitive brands
3. Conducts research to identify sales leads and key players
4. Tracks customer purchases of consumable products and actively calls customers to remind and ask them for the next order to replenish their stock
5. Understands customers’ needs and requirements and how our product can service their needs
6. Contacts sales leads through telephone and email, cold calling as necessary
7. Generates interest from potential customers through promotional offerings and providing product information
8. Effectively and efficiently closes sales to achieve sales targets and quotas as established with the Store Manager
9. Successfully problem solve by listening to customer concerns, investing time & patience to learn solutions to common product/customer issues
10. Invoice and prepare products for customer orders
11. Stock store shelves and create product displays
12. Load and unload product for customers and other transportation services
13. Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads
14. Researching and qualifying new leads
15. Closing sales and achieving sales targets

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
- Minimum Grade 12 education; post-secondary education, or comparable experience in sales and/or marketing is an asset
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales or tele-sales capacity
- Excellent listening skills
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to work well under pressure to achieve set targets
