Qualifications

Are you a post-secondary Cybersecurity/Network Security student that wants to gain real-world experience delivering solutions on Cybersecurity Services? Under the direction of our Information Security Officer, you will provide input and expertise pertaining to security matters as well as promote cybersecurity awareness. You will be a part of a team that is accountable for the implementation, maintenance and operation of Cybersecurity Services, infrastructure & governance for Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation. You will maintain a high level of awareness of current threats, tools, techniques and best practices in the field of information security. The successful applicant must be available to work for the duration of the term. Preference will be given to students furthering their education in the fall.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

§ Enrolled in a post-secondary Cybersecurity/Network Security program.

§ Experience with Microsoft 365 & Azure/Entra.

§ Experience with IAM.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

§ Knowledge of controls & frameworks (ITIL, CIS, ISO 27001, NIST Framework).

§ Knowledge of network scanning, intrusion detection, vulnerability scanning & event management.

§ Knowledge of ethical hacking tools & techniques.

§ Knowledge of network monitoring tools.

§ Knowledge of server & workstation operating systems.

§ Knowledge of topics related to information security, penetration testing, hardening, monitoring and incident response.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

§ Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

§ Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is preferred.

§ Must have the ability to travel within the Province of Manitoba as required.

SALARY: $18.75 to $21.27 per hour, depending on education and experience.
