Overview
Role:
- Develop strong relationships with current customer base by learning their business needs
- Aid in the day-to-day operations around the facility and customer support - this includes loading and delivering seed of products.
- Keep accurate record of transactions at the facility and manage inventory
- Assist in field scouting
o Pre seed scouting involving weed ID
o In crop establishment scouting involving plant counts and insect damage
o In crop scouting involving weed ID and chemical knowledge
o Disease staging for fungicide application involving disease ID and insect ID
o Pre Harvest staging
This role is a full time term with a competitive compensation package and benefits with a focus on work life balance. The right applicant would have a possibility to transition into full time position.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Working towards the completion of Degree or Diploma in Agriculture with focus on attaining CCA
- Minimum of 1 year of agronomy experience
- Strong understanding of agronomic principles and practices
- Valid Class 5 drivers License
- Strong desire to provide agronomic solutions and excellent customer service
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills; written and oral
