Position Overview
RealAgriculture is seeking a motivated and creative Media Intern to join our fast-paced content team. This internship is ideal for a student or early-career professional interested in agricultural journalism, digital media, broadcasting, social media, video production, or communications.
The Media Intern will gain hands-on experience producing multimedia content for a national agriculture audience while working alongside experienced journalists, hosts, and producers
Key Responsibilities
● Create digital content, including articles, videos, podcasts, and social media posts
● Support video editing, clipping, captioning, and uploading content to digital platforms
● Attend and help cover agricultural events, conferences, field days, and trade shows when applicable
● Conduct background research and assist with interview preparation
● Draft social media copy and help manage audience engagement across platforms
● Assist with podcast and webinar production logistics
● Help maintain content calendars and publishing schedules
● Contribute creative ideas for audience growth, storytelling, and multimedia projects
● Support photography, audio recording, and behind-the-scenes content creatio
Qualifications
Qualifications
● Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in journalism,communications, media production, marketing, agriculture, or a related field
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Interest in agriculture, rural issues, food systems, or agribusiness
● Familiarity with social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X.
● Basic experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Cap Cut, or similar tools
● Comfortable working independently in a remote and deadline-driven environment
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
● Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-moving media environment
Preferred Assets
● Audio editing or podcast production experience
● Knowledge of agriculture and farming practices
● Experience writing for digital or broadcast media
● On-camera or interviewing experience
● Photography or videography experience
