Overview
THE ROLE
Under the supervision of the Mess Manager, the Mess Administrative Assistant assists in planning, organizing and coordinating administrative procedures for the Mess office. They will assist in the planning, organizing and set up of Functions. They answer and respond to incoming phone calls or direct inquiries to the appropriate person. They balance petty cash and all monies from mess dues and accounts receivable, type and process all correspondence, perform administrative duties as well as take reservations and collect payments for all entertainment functions.

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
As part of the selection process, the successful candidate must successfully complete a Reliability status security screening.

Qualifications
Education, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, and some of experience in Administration or in a related field
OR
High school diploma and several years of experience in administration
OR
An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered
Experience
In office administration and records management
In basic accounting
In invoice and order processing
In organizing meetings and schedules
In drafting and distributing correspondence
In the preparation of reports
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset
