Overview
Based out of the Dauphin Sub Office, the individual will be responsible for preparation of payroll, maintenance of time and attendance records, and providing assistance to the Human Resources and Payroll Department.
Qualifications
• Minimum of a two year accounting course through a recognized institution and/or two years accounting related experience
• Training and/or knowledge and practical experience in the application of generally accepted accounting principles, human resources, and payroll
• Experience with computerized payroll/accounting, specifically Accpac and experience with working with a human resource database will be considered an asset
• Understanding and belief in good principles of management and accounting practice and ability to deal with them
• Knowledge and experience with computers / software; Excel, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
• Integrity and direct open manner in dealing with major issues
• Good administration and organizational skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Knowledge of and appreciation for Ojibway culture and aspirations is essential.
• Must have demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
• Must be bondable
