Permanent Part-time Custodial Assistant
Overview
Labor duties such as mowing grass, shoveling snow, assemble furniture by following manufacturer's instructions, painting, climbing ladders etc.
Basic understanding of equipment such as backpack blowers, lawnmowers, shovels, snow brushes and other equipment.
Physically fit to complete all tasks assigned; FIT testing may be required.
Knowledge of overall Safety skills and requirements i.e. Hazard Assessments, Workplace Safety and Health, etc.
Able to maintain equipment and tools.

Applicants looking for permanent work will be given preferential consideration. However, applicants looking for summer hours only will also be considered.
Qualifications
Ability to perform the physicality of the job.
Maintain good attendance and display a strong work ethic.
Able to work independently and as part of a team; must be flexible and able to adjust to changing work assignments.
Must deal with and maintain confidential information.
Must be able to perform work in adverse weather conditions including cold and inclement weather such as blizzards, sleet, low visibility, ice, rain, extreme heat etc. and in close proximity to moving vehicles.
Physically able to lift up to 50lbs (daily).
Ability to cross on uneven ground (daily).
Be able to stand, walk, lift, squat, end and crouch for prolonged periods.
Manual dexterity is required through safe and proper operation of hand tools, power tools, smaller equipment, etc.
