Job Summary
This role is responsible for a hands-on approach to the development of new product, prototype fabrication,
testing, and production releases. If you enjoy finding solutions and have mechanical ability to work hands-on to
develop and improve agricultural products, this position suits you. Infield communication and troubleshooting
skills with end users (farmers) and the agriculture sales team is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strong understanding of seeding equipment
Fabrication of jigs and fixtures
Designing and fabricating prototype product
In-field, 3rd party, and bench testing with documentation of data
Troubleshooting product issues with customers
Qualifications
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following characteristics:
Experience - An agricultural background with an interest in farming and farming equipment
- Mechanic or agricultural service technician experience would be assets
Skills - Ability to weld with strong metal working skills
- Mechanical aptitude for understanding manufacturing processes and machinery
- A desire to learn CAD modelling and technical drawing
- Basic understanding of CNC and manual machining equipment, tool and die manufacturing,
and metal forming would be assets
