Overview
True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for energetic individuals to join the 2023/24 Promotional Team in the roles of Flight Squadron and Hype Team Members.
These co-ed teams perform a wide range of important duties to ensure the delivery of a superior fan experience at Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose home games. The Flight Squadron and Hype Team are responsible for executing various in-game elements including promotions, on-ice activations, giveaways, and more!
What to expect in this role:
- Serve as Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose brand ambassadors during home games.
- Execute on-ice and in crowd promotions.
- Lead cheers, crowd chants, and other methods of fan engagement.
- Distribute game promotional items and prizes.
- Work behind the scenes executing activations.
- Be part of a collaborative, creative, and energetic team.
- Welcome fans into Canada Life Centre.
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What we need from you:
- Always being friendly, positive, engaging dynamic personality, and enthusiastic with every guest and team member.
- Comfortable working with large crowds in a loud, fun, and dynamic environment.
- Well organized, good attention to detail, and strong ability to follow-up.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to exhibit discretion and confidentiality as required.
- Must be flexible and adaptable .
- Ability to be available for 75% of Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose home games.
- Basic knowledge of hockey is an asset.
- Ability to skate is valued.
- Requirement to stand and walk for long periods on concrete surfaces.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs., and regularly to lift 5 lbs.
- Age Requirement: 18+
- If selected, participants will be required to attend an in-person audition.
