Overview
True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for an energetic people leader and fast-paced operations expert to join our team as a Quick Service Manager at Canada Life Centre.
The Quick Service Manager leads day-to-day concession operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences through efficient service, food preparation, organized workstations, and strict cleanliness and safety standards.
What to be excited for in this role:
Oversee all day-to-day quick service concession operations during Canada Life Centre events.
Lead and supervise concession supervisors, cashiers, runners, vending staff and stand staff.
Ensure fast, efficient, and guest-focused food & beverage service throughout all concession locations.
Monitor staffing levels and adjust labor deployment based on event attendance and sales volume.
Conduct pre-event meetings to communicate event expectations, menu features, promotions, and operational priorities.
Ensure all concession stands are fully stocked, clean, organized, and operational before doors open.
Coordinate product distribution and replenishment with warehouse and culinary teams during events.
Monitor concession service times and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations.
Manage POS systems, cash handling procedures, float distribution, and end-of-night reconciliation.
Track and control beverage cost, waste, and inventory variances.
Analyze sales reports and labor reports to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Manage guest service issues quickly and professionally to ensure satisfaction and service recovery.
Maintain strong communication across all operational teams to ensure seamless event execution.
Assist with menu planning, product selection, and concession promotions to maximize revenue.
Support onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of team members.
Maintain compliance with established SOP’s, policies, and brand standards consistently.
Conduct post-event stand inspections and ensure proper shutdown procedures are completed.
Participate in inventory counts, ordering, receiving, and vendor coordination as required.
Assist with menu board development and maintain up-to-date menu content in collaboration with marketing and IT.
Contribute to successful event execution during high-demand periods such as large-scale and high-profile events including playoffs and tournaments with flexibility in scheduling.
Qualifications
What we need from you:
Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a sports arena or high-volume hospitality environment considered an asset.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Strong understanding of guest service and operational excellence.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Comfortable interpreting and calculating basic numerical data.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 pounds frequently.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended event hours as required.
