Job Title: Spa Technician
Reports to: Store Manager/Selling Sales Manager
Purpose: This role aims to maintain and enhance our client’s recreational water experience by maintaining their spa investment in a safe and pristine condition. This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, doing spa installations, maintenance, repairs, and technical troubleshooting. The ideal person will have a passion for learning, attention to detail, and be a self-starter with good mechanical and troubleshooting skills. You would possess excellent interpersonal/team skills and exceptional customer service skills and work independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities:
• Follow the delivery process, including loading, installation and return of materials
• Utilize work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
• Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used
• Provide excellent customer service, including answering customer questions and providing recommendations for spa and hot tub maintenance
• Provide accurate product information (e.g., product features, after-sales services, etc.)
• Provide routine services such as water testing/balancing and filter cleaning
• Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure that they continue to receive exceptional customer service
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and installation on spa and hot tub equipment
• Attending to guest requests for hot tub servicing as well as scheduled servicing
• Troubleshoot and diagnose spa equipment issues, such as pump or heater problems.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines when performing work on spa equipment
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technology related to spa equipment
• Represent the Livingstone Outdoor brand
• Provide relief as a Forklift Operator when required (holiday, sick time coverage, no forklift operator, etc.)
• Operate the Loader or Skid Steer, on occasion, as relief
• Assist with deliveries of various materials, goods, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualification & Experience Requirements
• Prior experience in spa or hot tub repair, installation of maintenance, an asset
• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems related to spa/hot tub equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Possess a valid Class 5F Driver’s license
• Class 3A Driver’s license, an asset
• Ability to travel to outside communities
• Familiarity and experience with social media strategies and platforms
• Certified in Forklift operations, an asset

Physical Conditions:
The duties of the Hot Tub Installer/Servicing Technician are carried out primarily in an outdoor environment, including site visits, etc.
• Uses hands, arms, and shoulders(daily).
• Prepared to lift and move heavy loads
• Ability to cross on uneven ground when doing site visits (daily).
• Ability to work outside when doing site visits (daily)
• Standing, kneeling, crouching, for prolonged periods

Psychological/Stress Conditions:
The Hot Tub Installer/Servicing Technician’s position, workload and environment do not generally increase employee emotional or stress levels.
• Interruptions and requests from multiple areas (daily).

• Job demands versus time constraints (daily).
• Periods of intense concentration when meeting deadlines and during peak periods (occasionally).
• Participates in group decision-making and projects (occasionally).

Work Conditions:
The Hot Tub Installer/Servicing Technician works independently and in a team environment.
