Overview
Under the supervision of the Facility Coordinator, the Sports Stores Clerk provides administrative services for the sports store and performs general maintenance and repair for the sports and physical fitness equipment. The Sports Stores Clerk assists customers, advises customers on use and care of equipment, organizes equipment set up, and take down. They issue, receive, mark, and store equipment, as required, monitor equipment returns and ensure proper storage. The Sports Stores Clerk inspects equipment for safety and takes corrective action as required, prepares documentation for equipment defects and repairs, as required, assists with ordering parts for equipment and other items, as required and cleans and refurbishes returned equipment for re-issue or storage.

Qualifications
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND some experience in a related field.
OR
An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered.
Experience
In a recreation, fitness facility or similar environment
In providing customer service
In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, email and Internet browsing
Competencies
