Store Retail Clerk
Overview
Job Responsibilities
Greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase
Test swimming pool / hot tub water and advise customers appropriate chemical to use
Bag, box or parcel purchases for customers or for shipment or delivery to customers
Carry customers purchases to the parking lot when needed
Unpack products received by the store
Stock shelves and display areas and keep stock clean and in order
Direct customers to location of products required
May sweep floor, dust display racks and perform other general cleaning duties
May operate a cash register and computer for electronic commerce transactions
Qualifications
Requirements
Demonstrated sales ability and product knowledge (on-line training available)
Welcoming and friendly personality
Answer phones in a polite and professional manner
Ensure complete customer satisfaction with all advice and products
Work Conditions
Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 45lbs is required
May be exposed to hazards associated with the industry
Flexible hours (store is open from Monday 9-5 to Saturday 10-3)
Thorough knowledge of POS system (training available)
Must be highly organized and reliable
