Summer Camp Director
Overview
To work cooperatively with camp management to lead staff through all camp procedures and policies according to Manitoba Camping Association Accreditation Manual.
To assist in hiring and training counsellors, guide them on a daily basis, and lead staff meetings. Throughout the summer, the director will provide supervision, feedback, and guidance to the team of camp staff. They will assist the programmers, field questions from parents, and administer & support decisions on camper behaviour. The job will include the creation of multi-media presentations and the management of all emergency procedures. The rules and routines of camp will be followed by campers and staff under the director’s leadership.
On-site accommodation is provided. Wage dependent on experience.

Qualifications:
CPR and First-Aid Certification
Criminal Record Check
Child Abuse Registry Check
The successful candidate will have:
strong leadership and team-building skills
experience supervising young adults
passion for outdoor activities
knowledge in developing, planning, and coordinating programs
skills to create multi-media presentations
Previous experience as a camper or counsellor is preferred but not essential.
