Summer Communications Assistant

Overview

Are you a post-secondary communications student or recent graduate looking for a summer role that’s more than just a job? Agriculture in the Classroom-Manitoba (AITC-M) invites you to become our Summer Communications Assistant!

We’re hiring a dynamic, creative multimedia storyteller to promote our programs, resources and activities to teachers, volunteers, and partners. Based in the Winnipeg area, you'll work under the direction of our Communications Manager, out of your home office and at in-person events across Manitoba. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

About AITC-M

We're a non-profit dedicated to agriculture education. Our small but mighty team is passionate about connecting Manitoba students at all grade levels to where their food comes from, the people who produce it, and the countless opportunities for exciting careers in our province's largest industry.

AITC-M runs several programs and special events throughout the year, including summer and fall programs such as Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month, Manitoba Ag Days Adventure, Seed Survivor, career expos and fairs, and more.

Our programs and resources reach hundreds of classrooms and thousands of students, inspiring tomorrow's leaders, consumers and decision-makers to understand the critical role agriculture plays in our world — and our future.

We have lots of adventures planned for the summer of 2024, and one amazing opportunity for a communicator to join the fun!
