About the Role
MFNERC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graphic Designer summer student to support our team in producing educational and organizational materials. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in layout design and print-ready production.
Key Responsibilities
• Lay out and format teacher guides, booklets, brochures, and reports using Adobe InDesign
• Import and organize content from Microsoft Word into clean, visually appealing layouts
• Ensure consistency in typography, formatting, and overall design standards
• Prepare files for print and digital distribution
• Create or assist with clip art and simple graphics
• Support the team with basic illustration work when required (Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate)
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign (required)
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator
• Experience with document layout and formatting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow templates, style guides, and instructions
• Basic illustration skills are an asset
• Currently enrolled
